Tank Melter
The Maan Tank Melter is a high-quality buffer unit for (PUR) hotmelt. In addition to its function as a buffer unit, this tank unit can also be used to preheat (PUR) hotmelt in block or granule form. The melting chamber of the Maan Tank Melter consists of two zones. In the upper zone, the adhesive supply can be stored in block or granule form. The adhesive then enters the melting chamber via a grate. This means that only a small portion of the adhesive is kept at temperature, thereby preventing degradation of the adhesive. From the melting chamber, the adhesive is pumped further through the process by means of a gear pump. The Maan Tank Melter is fitted as standard with two connections for adhesive hoses.

Buffer unit
The Maan Tank Melter is not only used as a preheater, but primarily serves as a buffer unit. The adhesive is transported from the Drum Melter to the Tank Melter. In the Tank Melter, the adhesive is maintained at a constant temperature and then pumped to the glue head. This ensures the correct application temperature of the adhesive. Furthermore, the Tank Melter allows the adhesive drum in the Drum Melter to be replaced, thanks to the buffer built into the Tank Unit.
Capacity of 65 or 120 litres
The Tank Melter is available in 65-litre or 120-litre versions. The most suitable capacity for the process is determined on the basis of the application and the process parameters.
