Post Industrie speeds up its production process with Hotmelt Flat Lamination coating equipment
It was the adhesive supplier who – quite fittingly – forged the link between Post Industrie and Maan Engineering. Thomas Wünnemann is the Technical Managing Director at the German company: ‘Thanks to Maan’s Sheet-2-Sheet equipment, we have increased the production speed of our trailer floors without compromising the quality of the end product.’
Post Industrie specialises in the manufacture of industrial and timber assembly structures for the retail and logistics sectors. One of its core activities is the production of trailer floors, which are manufactured using screen-printed plates. Post carries out this work in series for well-known car manufacturers.
Better, faster, more efficient
Wünnemann explains: ‘The machine we previously used to press the materials together took a long time for the materials to bond. We were convinced that the process could be faster, better and more efficient.’ Wünnemann approached the adhesive supplier for advice. They recommended Maan Engineering to resolve the issue.
The Sheet-2-Sheet production line, in which a carefully applied layer of hot-melt coating ensures extremely rapid bonding, proved indeed to be the answer. Wünnemann is very pleased with the process: ‘Maan carried out several tests, both before and after we purchased the machines, with the final test taking place at our site whilst the production line was being commissioned. That gave us a great deal of confidence.’
Expertise in hotmelt
When asked what sets Maan Engineering apart from others, Wünnemann replies: ‘Maan Engineering has a wealth of in-house knowledge and experience. This is reflected in its extensive expertise in the application of hot-melt coating. But it is also evident from its in-house Research & Development department and the good relationship Maan has with various adhesive suppliers.’
Incidentally, it wasn’t just the technology that was a key factor in the company’s decision to choose Maan. Post Industrie also attaches great importance to a good relationship with the account manager. ‘We were looking for a partner with whom we could establish a good personal rapport and mutual trust. We found that in Maan Engineering,’ concludes Wünnemann.
