UV hot-melt requires a more precise process than conventional hot-melt. For example, when it comes to the viscosity and temperature of the adhesive and the UV curing process itself. We’d be happy to bring you up to speed on this:
A UV-curable pressure-sensitive adhesive behaves differently to a conventional hot-melt. This makes the process fundamentally more challenging. Furthermore, the lower the coating weight, the more critical it becomes. This calls for different application techniques, tailored to the coating weight and specially designed for applying a UV hot-melt in technical tape applications.
